Interpol disrupts cybercrime across 22,000 IP addresses, arrests 41. In a significant international operation named Synergia II, Interpol arrested 41 individuals and dismantled infrastructure linked to cybercrime across 95 countries from April to August 2024. The operation, supported by private cybersecurity firms, led to the takedown of over 1,037 servers and the identification of more than 30,000 suspicious IP addresses. Authorities are also investigating an additional 65 suspects, highlighting the growing threat of phishing, ransomware, and information-stealer malware in the cybercrime landscape.
