Israeli Startup Upwind Raises $100 Million in Funding Round

Upwind, an Israeli cloud cybersecurity startup, is raising $100 million at an $850-$900 million valuation. The Series B funding round is nearing completion and includes participation from investors such as Craft Ventures, Greylock, and Steph Curry’s Penny Jar fund. Upwind, which has recently secured numerous Fortune 500 clients and expanded its workforce to about 160 employees, plans to use the new capital for research and development as well as hiring, aiming to add around 100 staff across various locations. The company focuses on reducing alert noise in cloud security, claiming to cut alerts by 90% to enhance threat response efficiency.
