Security vulnerabilities in OvrC cloud platform expose connected devices. A security analysis has identified ten vulnerabilities in Snap One’s OvrC platform that could allow attackers to execute code remotely on various connected devices, including smart power supplies and home automation systems. The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) warns that these flaws could enable unauthorized access, device hijacking, and information disclosure. Snap One has released fixes for eight vulnerabilities, with two more scheduled for November 2024. The report emphasizes the need for improved security measures in cloud management systems as IoT devices proliferate.
