Equinox notifies over 21,000 clients of data breach. Equinox, a New York State health organization, has begun informing more than 21,000 clients and staff about a significant data breach that occurred nearly seven months ago, potentially involving the LockBit ransomware gang. The breach, which took place on April 29, compromised sensitive personal, financial, and health information, including Social Security numbers and medical records. Equinox has since secured its IT environment and engaged a cybersecurity firm to investigate the incident. Despite efforts to combat ransomware, LockBit remains active, having leaked 31.8GB of data after the breach.
