Amazon and Audible Targeted by Spam Listings

Amazon and Audible inundated with spam promoting dubious trading schemes. Recent reports reveal that Amazon, Amazon Music, and Audible are being exploited by spammers who are flooding the platforms with fake listings promoting questionable “forex trading” sites and pirated software. These listings, which include zero-second audio “episodes,” aim to boost the search rankings of illicit domains through SEO poisoning. Notably, many of these listings reference a dubious trading platform called EliteMarketMovers, which has been linked to Telegram and YouTube channels. Despite Amazon’s removal of some listings after being alerted, the issue highlights the ongoing challenge of spam in digital content distribution, a problem also acknowledged by podcast hosting service Firstory, which is working to combat such abuses.
