Russian authorities sentence Hydra Market leader to life in prison. Stanislav Moiseyev, the organizer of the notorious dark web platform Hydra Market, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in a criminal group that produced and sold nearly a ton of drugs. Alongside Moiseyev, over a dozen accomplices received prison terms ranging from 8 to 23 years and fines totaling 16 million rubles. Hydra Market, which was dismantled in a joint operation by German and U.S. authorities in April 2022, was the largest darknet market globally, facilitating drug sales and money laundering with a turnover of $1.35 billion in 2020.
