Ruijie Networks' Cloud Platform Vulnerabilities Affect 50,000 Devices

/ 1 min read

🔓 Critical vulnerabilities discovered in Ruijie Networks’ cloud management platform. Cybersecurity researchers from Claroty have identified ten security flaws in Ruijie Networks’ cloud management platform, affecting both the Reyee platform and Reyee OS network devices. Among these, three vulnerabilities are rated Critical, with CVSS scores of 9.4 and 9.8, allowing attackers to execute code on cloud-enabled devices and potentially control tens of thousands of devices. The researchers developed an attack method called “Open Sesame,” which exploits these vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized access. Following responsible disclosure, Ruijie has addressed these issues, impacting an estimated 50,000 devices. This incident highlights ongoing security concerns in Internet of Things (IoT) devices, particularly those with low entry barriers that can lead to significant network attacks.
