/ 1 min read
🌐 RedHunt Labs reveals critical insights from port 80 internet scan. In a recent study under Project Resonance, RedHunt Labs analyzed billions of IP addresses, discovering that approximately 42 million had port 80 open, indicating significant vulnerabilities. The research highlighted that only 12.8% of these hosts redirected to HTTPS, leaving most connections insecure. Additionally, the scan identified over 25,000 unique HTTP response headers and 500,000 email addresses, showcasing a diverse web landscape. Notably, popular web servers like Nginx and Apache dominated, while outdated technologies, including legacy PHP versions, raised security concerns. RedHunt Labs aims to enhance Attack Surface Management by sharing these findings and datasets with the community, emphasizing the importance of securing online assets in a complex digital environment.
