DivTrackee Introduces New Approach to Anti-Facial Recognition

🌀 New strategies needed to combat advanced facial recognition tracking. The paper critiques the effectiveness of current anti-facial recognition (AFR) methods against dynamic facial recognition (FR) strategies, which update their databases with newly recognized images of targets. The authors introduce a novel approach, DivTrackee, which emphasizes diversity in AFR-protected images to enhance privacy protection. They argue that existing methods fail primarily due to a lack of diversity and demonstrate through experiments that DivTrackee outperforms current AFR techniques in safeguarding user facial images. This research highlights the urgent need for improved AFR strategies to counteract the evolving capabilities of determined trackers.
