Juniper Networks Issues Warning on Junos OS Vulnerabilities

/ 1 min read

🌐 Juniper Networks warns of critical vulnerabilities in Junos OS. The company has issued advisories for two significant vulnerabilities, CVE-2025-21598 and CVE-2025-21599, affecting Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved systems. The first vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to crash the routing protocol daemon (RPD) by sending malformed BGP packets, potentially impacting interconnected networks. The second vulnerability can lead to a denial of service (DoS) by exhausting kernel memory through specially crafted IPv6 packets. Both vulnerabilities have a high severity rating of 7.5 and can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers. Juniper has released patches, urging organizations to update their systems promptly to mitigate these risks.
