Targeting an ISP in Eastern Asia, the 80-second attack was effectively mitigated by Cloudflare’s autonomous systems, resulting in no service disruption. The report indicates a significant rise in hyper-volumetric DDoS attacks, with a staggering 1,885% quarter-over-quarter growth in attacks exceeding 1 Tbps. Additionally, ransom DDoS attacks surged by 78% in the same period, particularly during peak usage times like holidays.
