New Framework for Decentralized Identity Introduced

/ 1 min read

🛡️✨ New framework enhances decentralized identity with signature-less verifiable credentials. The paper introduces SLVC-DIDA, a novel multi-party authentication framework that utilizes a Permanent Issuer-Hiding (PIH) model to improve decentralized identity (DID) systems. By eliminating the need for signing keys and relying on hashing and issuer membership proofs, SLVC-DIDA facilitates universal zero-knowledge authentications while maintaining issuer anonymity through a zero-knowledge RSA accumulator. This approach mitigates risks associated with key exposure and context inference attacks, allowing for fully decentralized issuance and verification of DIDs. The framework’s effectiveness and practicality are evaluated through experiments, marking a significant advancement in user-centric online services and identity management.
