/ 1 min read

🔌 Tesla Wall Connector hacked twice at Pwn2Own Automotive 2025 contest. Security researchers successfully exploited Tesla’s Wall Connector on the second day of the Pwn2Own Automotive 2025 hacking contest, utilizing a zero-day vulnerability and a novel approach via the Charging Connector. In total, 23 zero-day vulnerabilities were exploited across various electric vehicle chargers and in-vehicle infotainment systems, earning participants $335,500 in cash rewards. The competition, which runs from January 22 to 24 in Tokyo, focuses on automotive technologies, with vendors given 90 days to address the identified security flaws before public disclosure. Last year, the inaugural event saw researchers exploit 49 vulnerabilities and earn over $1.3 million in rewards.
