Study Identifies Weaknesses in Wi-Fi Network Security

The study found that 16% of passwords were predictable, often using the minimum required length or default passwords set by manufacturers. This reliance on convenience over security compromises the effectiveness of both WPA2 and the newer WPA3-Personal Transition Mode. The authors recommend strategies to enhance Wi-Fi security, emphasizing the need for stronger, more unique passphrases to protect against unauthorized access.
