A new study introduces a low-altitude friendly-jamming system utilizing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to bolster data security in maritime communications. The research addresses the security vulnerabilities inherent in LEO satellite coverage by formulating a multi-objective optimization problem that balances secrecy rates and UAV energy consumption. To tackle this complex issue, the authors developed a transformer-enhanced soft actor critic (TransSAC) algorithm, a generative AI-enabled deep reinforcement learning method. Simulation results indicate that TransSAC significantly outperforms existing methods, achieving optimal secrecy rates while minimizing UAV energy use, thus providing a promising solution for secure satellite-maritime communication.
