🔍 New Automated System AID Enhances Detection of Intimate Partner Infiltration. Intimate Partner Infiltration (IPI), a form of intimate partner violence that exploits physical access to victims’ devices, poses significant challenges in the U.S. due to its reliance on personal knowledge and proximity. To address this issue, researchers have developed AID, an Automated IPI Detection system that monitors smartphones for unauthorized access and suspicious activities while preserving user privacy. AID utilizes a two-stage architecture and adapts to individual user behaviors, achieving a top-3 F1 score of 0.981 and a low false positive rate of 4% in a study with 27 participants. This innovative tool aims to enhance the capabilities of security clinics, providing scalable support for survivors of IPI.
