🔗 Saflo: An Innovative eBPF-Based MPTCP Scheduler Enhances Security in Cellular Networks. The Saflo scheduler, utilizing eBPF technology, aims to mitigate traffic analysis attacks in LTE/5G networks by implementing a multipath TCP (MPTCP) approach. It addresses vulnerabilities in Downlink Control Information (DCI) messages by performing multipath scheduling in the kernel space while offloading security computations and machine learning-based attack detection to user-space programs. This dual-layer strategy allows for timely scheduling and improved security, as demonstrated in a private LTE/5G testbed, where it significantly reduced the effectiveness of video and user identification attacks while maintaining satisfactory network performance.
