A new framework integrating Zero Trust, Zero Touch, and AI/ML technologies aims to bolster security in the rapidly expanding Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. This approach focuses on the detection, mitigation, and prevention of DDoS attacks across both fixed and mobile 5G/6G networks, establishing stringent security measures for all IoT traffic. The study compares five machine learning models—XGBoost, Random Forest, K-Nearest Neighbors, Stochastic Gradient Descent, and Naive Bayes—evaluating their effectiveness through metrics like accuracy and F1-score. Results indicate that ensemble-based methods outperform others in addressing various DDoS threats, highlighting the potential of AI/ML in enhancing IoT security frameworks.
